If you play a lot of PC games, a more comfortable mouse with fast response times, a precise sensor, more customizable buttons, and pretty lights can be a worthwhile upgrade over a regular ol’ mouse. We tested 45 gaming mice this year—in addition to the so, so many we’ve tested in past years—to find the best wired and wireless gaming mice for most hand sizes and most grip styles.

Razer Basilisk V3, the best gaming mouse

Razer Basilisk V3

The best gaming mouse
The Basilisk V3 is comfortable for most hand sizes and grip types, has plenty of buttons, and offers customizable RGB underglow lighting. But Razer’s Synapse 3 software doesn’t work on macOS.
We recommend
Logitech G502 X, the next-best option

Logitech G502 X

The next-best option
The G502 X is similar in size and shape to the Basilisk V3, but some testers found it awkward to hold because it has so many buttons, and it lacks RGB lights.
Another good choice
Asus ROG Gladius III , a repairable mouse

Asus ROG Gladius III

A repairable mouse
The Gladius III is easy to repair, and it’s still comfortable enough for a wide range of hand sizes and grip styles. But it has fewer buttons than our top picks.
Another good choice
Logitech G203 Lightsync, excellent performance for less

Logitech G203 Lightsync

Excellent performance for less
The Logitech G203 is smaller than our top picks and has fewer buttons, but it’s just as customizable, and its sensor is plenty accurate.
Budget friendly
Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, a wireless upgrade

Razer Basilisk V3 Pro

A wireless upgrade
The Basilisk V3 Pro is the best wireless gaming mouse thanks to its comfortable shape, well-placed buttons, optical switches, and decent battery life.
A better upgrade
Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed, a cheaper wireless mouse

Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed

A cheaper wireless mouse
The Basilisk X HyperSpeed has fewer buttons and no lighting, but it’s comfortable, accurate, and responsive, and it can connect via USB or Bluetooth.
Another good choice
